The Regional Food Systems team works with all things food—from growing to marketing to distributing. Whether we’re helping newcomers cultivate traditional crops from their cultural heritage, connecting producers with local schools to provide fresh produce for students, or aiding your corner grocery store in selling better-quality products, we work to bring healthy, nourishing food from the farm to your table.

Sectors of a Food System

There are five sectors of a food sytem: Production, Processing, Distribution & Marketing, Consumption & Food Access, and Resource Management.
