Online Cottage Food Law Training Course

Instructions for registering for the Cottage Food Law Course

  1. Payment: You will pay for the online course on UNL Marketplace. The cost is $25. Once you pay for the course, an email will be sent to you with an enrollment key. You will need this enrollment key to continue registering for the course.
  2. Registration: Once you have paid for the course, please visit the eXtension Online Campus.
    • Create a new eXtension account.
    • After creating an account, you will receive an email confirmation.
    • Confirm your account. Click on Courses.
    • Scroll down to: Search Courses. Enter Cottage Food Law and click Go.
    • You have arrived at the course page. Click on Cottage Food Law.
    • Enter the Enrollment Key from your email from UNL Marketplace.
    • Begin the course. For questions about getting into the course, email moodlehelp@extension.org.
    • For content-related questions, email cbrison1@unl.edu or call 402-444-7872.

FAQs

  1. Once I start the course, do I have to finish it in one sitting? No—you can log back in as often as you need for up to one year, including printing your certificate.
  2. How much time from start to finish does the course take? It will take you about 1.5 hours total.
  3. Do I need to pass a quiz to become certified? Yes—there is a quiz at the end, and you will need to pass with a 75% to become certified. You can take the quiz more than once, if needed.
  4. Is this course offered in Spanish? Please stay tuned for a Spanish language course offering. Release date TBD.
